Why ozonation after guests check out
The guest is gone, the room looks clean — but the smell stays. Airing it out and a room spray only cover it up for a few hours. Ozonation deals with the cause, not the symptom.
After a longer stay, a space almost always carries a trace of the guest who was there — perfume, food, damp, sometimes cigarette smoke from the terrace or the smell of a pet. Regular cleaning and an open window soften that, but rarely remove it completely. For the next guest, that lingering trace is the first thing they notice — and the first thing that breaks the impression of an immaculate space.
What ozone actually does
Unlike air fresheners or scented products that simply mask odour, ozone breaks down odour molecules and destroys bacteria and viruses in the air and on surfaces. It doesn't cover the problem — it neutralises it at the source, including places regular cleaning rarely reaches: fabric, rugs, the inside of air conditioning units, corners of a room.
When it makes the most sense
Ozonation is most useful after a longer booking, after a guest with a pet or a smoker, or when a new guest arrives the same day the previous one leaves — situations where regular airing simply doesn't have enough time to do the job. We offer a Standard Protocol for routine use and an Intensive Protocol for more demanding cases, matched to the type and size of the space.
The practical side
The process is quick and needs no preparation beyond the room being empty during treatment. Afterwards the space is aired out before anyone enters. It's safe, leaves no chemical residue and doesn't damage materials — just a space that genuinely smells clean, not covered up.
